Contact Center Customer Service Representative

Location: GPM Life Insurance, NE San Antonio

Working Conditions: Office ( without remote opportunity )

Schedule: 39 hours/week Monday-Friday; 5-hour workday on Fridays! 

Job Type: Full-Time

As part of the team at GPM Life Insurance, you’ll strive to provide excellent customer service to our customers, agents, and GPM team.

  Handling phone calls is the primary responsibility of a Contact Center Customer Service Representative. The Contact Center is a dual function team and they’re the primary contact for customers and agents. 

ALL ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Contact Center Customer Service Representative, each day could bring new challenges, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities :

  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls and customer service inquiries from other departments. 
  • Respond to incoming email requests via email, phone call or written correspondence.
  • Confer and discuss alternative options with policyholders who are trying to surrender and transfer their policies to other companies. 
  • Engage with Contact Center Team Leader and the Supervisor of Customer Service to meet team and company goals. 
  • Complete requested forms and letters that will be sent to policyholders.
  • Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions/alternatives. 
  • Provide policy value information, process loans, and assist agents with information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School plus some college or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a call center required.
  • Minimum 2 years' clerical/administrative experience. 
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Experience in a life insurance environment preferred.
