Job Summary
The Environmental Engineer - Waste Recycling & Disposal is responsible for developing creative and cost effective solutions for a wide range of environmental issues. Lead projects to implement the company's environmental strategy, advocacy, policy development, compliance programs and underlying regulatory requirements (enterprise wide or client specific), either independently or as a member of a team.
The Engineer must be able to interface with all levels of management and represented personnel and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, consultants and regulators. This position requires a sound overall knowledge of local, state and federal environmental regulations, and the utility industry.
Work assignments will include periodic coverage, including emergency response or planned off-hours work. Some travel is required: <20%

Pay Range Minimum : $78,702.26
Pay Range Maximum : $135,761.08
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
