Job Duties: Supervise and perform golf course and grounds maintenance duties year-round, including: training, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance staff (including H2B workers), to ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards; supervising the upkeep of greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and landscaped areas; directing and assisting staff in operating lawn mowing and landscaping equipment, such as Greens mower/Triplex, rough mower, sand-pro, string trimmer, fairway mower, greens roller, sprayer, tractor/loader and chain saw, and hand tools to maintain turf, plants, and trees; monitoring pesticide and fertilizer application; inspecting and maintaining the irrigation system to ensure proper functionality; ensuring that all equipment, tools, and storage areas are maintained in clean and safe condition; coordinating daily course and tournament setup, including preparing course features and ensuring playability standards are met; overseeing routine maintenance of golf carts and grounds equipment; coordinating with resort maintenance staff on work orders and seasonal projects; supervising snow removal and related winter maintenance tasks during the off-season; monitoring the resort grounds for snow and ice conditions, shoveling snow off steps, applying sand and salt to areas where guests frequent to maintain a safe environment for guests, cleaning up the common buildings and ground areas, daily garbage removal on the resort property grounds, and keeping the Director of Golf informed of all maintenance issues, equipment needs, or unusual conditions on the course or resort grounds.
The employer will provide on-the-job training. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge.?
Requirements: Requires 24 months of experience in maintenance and upkeep of golf grounds. Must speak Spanish in order to sufficiently supervise H2B workers. All worksites located in Breezy Point, MN. Travel throughout this area is required. Transportation between worksites is provided via the company's vehicles. The worksite locations are within 5 miles of the main address of the resort.
Wages/Terms: $30.70/hr., and $46.05/hr. for OT. 40 hours per week.
