Job Description

Keller Executive Search is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product Research to lead the product research initiatives for our innovative clients. This leadership role involves overseeing the research strategy, guiding the product research team, and driving insights that will inform product development and business strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product research methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a data-driven mindset. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure research findings directly influence product decisions and enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product research strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product researchers to deliver high-quality insights.
  • Design and oversee qualitative and quantitative research studies including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams to integrate research insights into product development.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy.
  • Communicate research findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve the product and user experience based on research data.
  • Manage research budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
  • Stay current with emerging research methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading product research teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in research tools and data analysis software.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a technology, SaaS, or product-driven company.
  • Background in user experience (UX) research.
  • Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience working with executive leadership.
