ICF is seeking candidates for the role of HR Assistant , an entry‑level position that provides administrative and operational human resources support to external clients. The HR Assistant supports the delivery of timely, accurate, and compliant HR services by performing structured, detail‑oriented tasks across core HR functional areas, including recruitment coordination, onboarding support, personnel processing, and employee data management.
Working under the direction of senior HR staff, HR Specialists, or project leads, the HR Assistant contributes to day‑to‑day HR operations that support client workforce needs in dynamic, high‑volume, and deadline‑driven environments. This role is consultative in nature and requires the ability to adapt to varying client requirements, follow client‑specific procedures, and support surge or project‑based workloads while maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
The HR Assistant supports routine HR transactions and documentation using established policies, standard operating procedures, and checklists; escalates non‑routine issues as appropriate; and assists in maintaining organized, audit‑ready personnel records and tracking tools. The role also involves responding to basic HR‑related inquiries, supporting coordination among stakeholders, and ensuring that required information is complete and properly documented to enable senior HR staff to perform higher‑level review, analysis, and decision‑making.
