Job Description

Location: On-site (Shoreline / North Seattle Area, WA) Employment Type: Part-Time / Seasonal Compensation:  $22.00 – $30.00 per hour DOE

Role Overview

We’re looking for dependable Landscape Maintenance Technicians / Groundskeepers to join Washington Landscaping , a division of United Services Northwest.

This role focuses on detailed groundskeeping and landscape maintenance across residential properties. You’ll be performing hands-on, repetitive outdoor work such as hand weeding, edging, pruning, and bed cleanup.

This is a great fit for individuals who enjoy structured, physical outdoor work, take pride in maintaining clean and polished landscapes, and show up consistently ready to work—regardless of weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Maintenance & Groundskeeping

  • Perform hand weeding, raking, edging, and detailed ground-level work
  • Maintain planting beds through pruning, mulching, and cleanup
  • Assist with general property upkeep and seasonal maintenance

Equipment & Tools

  • Use hand tools such as rakes, pruners, shovels, and spades
  • Operate power equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers) as assigned
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition

Quality & Teamwork

  • Follow job instructions and company quality standards
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
  • Communicate progress, issues, or needs to crew leads or management

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to perform repetitive, physical, ground-level work throughout the day
  • Reliable transportation and consistent, on-time attendance
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction and feedback
  • Commitment to safety and following company standards

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Previous landscape maintenance or groundskeeping experience
  • Experience operating mowers, trimmers, or other landscape equipment
  • Basic knowledge of plant care or pruning techniques

We prioritize reliability, work ethic, and coachability over experience.

Work Environment

  • Part-time, seasonal role with potential for extended work
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (varies based on workload/weather)
  • No weekend work
  • Outdoor, physically active environment

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry 30–40 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable performing repetitive ground-level tasks throughout the day
