Job Description

Job Summary: The Mailroom Operations Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of mail and package handling within the organization. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to facilitate smooth operations. You should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. It is also required to have previous experience as a Secretary or Executive administrative assistant and familiarity within our industry.Key Responsibilities:Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages in a timely manner.Maintain accurate records of all mailroom activities and inventory.Assist with the preparation and shipment of outgoing packages.Ensure the mailroom is kept organized and clean at all times.Collaborate with team members to improve mailroom processes and efficiency.Handle any mail-related inquiries from staff and provide exceptional customer service.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in mailroom operations or a related field.Good practical experience with MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Strong time management and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize workOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detailStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskHigh School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative Assistant or a Secretary will be a bonus.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a corporate environment is a plus; familiarity with mailing software and equipment is advantageous.Skills and Competencies:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and packages.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in using standard office equipment and software.Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or operations management are a plus.Benefits and Perks:401(k) with company match.
